Hi guys! Went into the stu­dio today to fin­ish writ­ing and record­ing a new song with good mate, Tony Hunt, called “I’m Com­ing Home”. I’m head­ing off this Thurs­day on a trip to Asia for a month so I hope­fully get a copy of the song before I head off (which basi­cally leaves tomor­row) but we’ll see!

Came back from the stu­dio again today with two new songs called “Any­thing For You” and “Girl, I Need You”. Hmm … look­ing at the song titles, I’m def­i­nitely see­ing some dis­turb­ing com­mon denom­i­na­tors there.

We recorded vocals today for a song called … well it cur­rently does not have a name, but it was orig­i­nally writ­ten as a happy track then had all the chords replaced with minors, sev­enths, ninths and thir­teenths. Def­i­nitely very com­pli­cated but it sounds melancholy-happy if that is even possible.

Over the next four weeks, we’ll have more tracks laid down while I am away. The chal­lenge will be work­ing inter­na­tion­ally on an album over the Inter­net so this will def­i­nitely be a lot of fun haha. Either that or com­pletely bizarre. Hope­fully not the latter.

Exams are all done and got the results. Pleas­antly sur­prised so now I feel like I can actu­ally begin my three month “vacation”!
